Corona del Sol will be hosting track’s annual Aztec Invitational, baseball’s home game, and the spring sports assembly on March 3, during the school day. The meet is scheduled to go from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Every year around twenty other high schools partake in the competition, usually bringing in lots of spectators as well.

With lots of spectators comes many cars, as well as buses to transport all of the athletes. Since the Invitational does take place during the school day, three parking lots are completely full with students’ cars. However, athletic director Cory Nenaber has a solution.

“We plan to use the LDS lot for spectator parking,” Nenaber said. “As for the buses, most busses are just going to drop off (the student-athletes) and head back to their districts for their normal routes.”

Parking shouldn’t be as big of a problem for baseball because the game does not begin until 3:45 p.m.
