On Aug. 26-27 CdS Theatre Works will be performing its first play of the year, Epic Proportions.

The show is a comedy set in the 1930s where two brothers, originally meant to be extras on the set of a movie scene, end up playing a much bigger role while being involved in a love triangle.

From learning lines and cues to remembering where to be when the curtain opens up, junior Teddy Ladley, who plays Benny, said preparing for this play took lots of memorization.

“It’s not only important to learn and remember your lines, but also learning to become the character with all their little quirks and inflections,” Ladley said.

Ladley is most looking forward to making people laugh and having a good time while performing.

Epic Proportions runs Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets will be sold for $5 at the door.
