Stephen Kuluris | Online Editor in Chief

Stephen Kuluris has been in the Journalism program of Corona since his freshman year. He joined Advanced Journalism as a sophomore, and started writing for the paper. Junior year he became the Opinions Editor before taking on the task of Online Editor his second half of the school year. Kuluris, now a senior, is the Online Editor in Chief of Sunrise’s online edition.

Sarah Dinell | Editor in Chief

Sarah Dinell joined the newspaper staff her junior year. She became the Opinions Editor during the second semester of that year. Now a senior, Sarah is the Editor in Chief of the print version of the Sunrise.

Tatum Hartwig | Managing Editor

Tatum Hartwig is now in her fourth year of journalism, and over those years has been the Life & Times Editor, News Editor and now the Managing Editor of the Sunrise. She spends her time out of class rowing competitively, and hopes to pursue a career in public relations.

Bree Purdy | Managing Editor

Senior Bree Purdy has been a part of the journalism program since her freshman year. She is currently Managing Editor and was editor of the Special Project section for the past two years.

Chanel Alvis | Opinions Editor

Chanel is a senior and the Opinions Editor for the school newspaper. She joined the journalism staff in the middle of junior year, after moving from Mesa. She loves to write, make movies and travel. Her inspirations are Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn and, of course, her mom.

Preslie Hirsch | Life & Times Editor

My inspiration comes from my mom, an accomplished journalist and entrepreneur, and my father, an open-minded seeker of the truth. I’m serving my third year in Journalism at Corona as Life and Times Editor, and working at Wrangler News as a freelance writer. In my spare time I am apart of Unity Leaders, work in community service, enjoy watching football and hanging out with friends, and working toward my dream of becoming a pharmacist.

Erin Blevins | Photo Editor

Hi, I’m Erin (Blev), This is my fourth year in journalism, and second year as Photo Editor. I’ve been taking photos for newspaper and personal interest since freshman year.

Hey I’m Kathryn Valentine, a senior here at Corona. I have been in journalism for three years as a photographer, and this is my first year as Photo Editor.

Kris Urban | Adviser

Mrs. Urban, in her 14th year as adviser of the Sunrise, has a degree in journalism from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Urban covered sports, education, politics and business for valley publications, and spent two years working in public relations.
