The Aztec track team has resumed practice in order to prepare for the 2010 season.

“We are working really hard right now,” junior Daniel Wrapp said. “Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, we meet at Hangar Park to train.”

Last year, the girls finished eighth at state and the boys finished 10th. This year, the Aztecs will definitely be looking to improve on this performance.

“I think we will have another good year,” junior Michael Seall said. “We no longer have Mike Stahl, one of our top throwers, but if we all continue to improve, we should be able to do really well.

Since neither of the track teams have any significant injuries coming in to the season, they should both be able to get a good start to the season.

“It’s just like running a race. You have to get a good start or you’re going to have to work really hard to make up for it,” Seall said.
