Get ready for yet another schedule change.

The Tempe Union High School District is currently evaluating a tentative new schedule for the 2010-2011 school year at Corona.

The new schedule includes the shortening of regular class periods to 56 minutes, third hour to 61 minutes, lunch to 39 minutes and school is set to end at 2:15, as opposed to the current time of 2:14. Passing periods will gain a minute and now be six minutes long.

School will still begin at 7:25 a.m.

Another possible change is the implement of an early release bell schedule that will occur every other Wednesday, 15 times a year, to allot time for staff development.

Regular class periods will be 45 minutes on early release days, third period will be 53 minutes, lunch will remain 39 minutes and school will end at 1:27.

“As of now, this schedule is completely tentative and depends on if we are still able to reach the required amount of seat time set by the district,” said Principal Susan Edwards. “We should have a final decision by next week.”
