The second annual Super Happy Fun Time, (SHFT), pronounced “shift,” took place at Corona on Saturday, Jan. 30.

SHFT is an event where the three journalism classes, [cdstv], Sunrise (newspaper) and Sunset (yearbook) come together to compete against one another in fun and hilarious games.

Sunset team members, aka “yerds,” showed up in hopes of defending their championship from the December 2008 event. However, [cdstv] (terds) arrived with more than 50 students, frightening the opponents. The newspaper staff (jerds) was dwarfed, having only 20 staff members in appearance.

Although [cdstv] was in the lead before the final game of Caterpillar, Sunrise’s determination allowed them to defeat their rivals. TV Production finished second and Yearbook took third place.
